Lindy's October challenge | Fall Door | Mixmedia

Hello and welcome! This post is to show you a fall decor piece I made to participate in Lindy's october challenge, and I was inspired by a christmas piece I saw in a local store, and had the idea to make something that welcomes to my home, so this is already hanging in my front door :)

Este post es para mostrarles ésta pieza decorativa de otoño que hice para participar en el reto de octubre de Lindy's, me inspiré en una pieza decorativa de navidad que vi en una tienda local y se me ocurrió hacerla para dar la bienvenida a mi casa, así que ya está colgada en la puerta de entrada :)

I really love how cute it looks in my front door! 

De verdad me encanta lo bonita que se ve en la puerta de entrada!

I cut first the base, total piece was 9" by 16" and then open the windows with the measurements you can watch on image.

Primero corté la base, la medida total de la pieza es de 9" por 16" y entonces abrí las ventanas con las medidas que ven en la imágen.

Then I cut a second piece with same measurements in the outside, 9" by 16" but for the windows I made this: I marked the same measurement with a pencil of the base, but then took off and extra 1/4" in all four sides and that's what I cut off.

Después corté una segunda pieza con las mismas medidas externas de la base, 9" por 16", pero para las ventanas hice ésto: con un lápiz marqué la misma medida de las de la base, pero agregué 1/4" a los 4 lados y corté. 

For the bottom (not in the base, we're working on second piece) I followed the windows side lines and leave a space of 1 1/4" in the center and in bottom to open that space as shown in pictures.

Para la parte baja (recuerden que ahora trabajamos en la segunda pieza, no la base) seguí la línea externa de las ventanas y dejé espacios de 1 1/4" en el centro y debajo para abrir los espacion, como se ve en la foto.

Then to the leftover pieces from the bottom, I took off 1/2" just in one side and in the bottom as shown in the picture.

Después con las piezas que quedaron de abajo, les quité 1/2" por un lado y abajo como se vé en las fotos.

This picture shows you how is the piece with all the parts cut.

Esta foto les muestra cómo se ve la pieza con todos los cortes.

And here you can see the final piece that is going to be stick to the base.

Y aquí pueden ver cómo se ve la pieza que habrá de pegarse a la base.

I used in this project, some real cotton branches without the cotton because is fall and they already lost the flowers.

Para éste proyecto usé ramas de flor de algodón sin la flor, porque es otoño y ya las perdieron.

I also used Finnabair waxes in vintage gold and rose gold, even for the branches.

También usé ceras de Finnabair en color oro viejo y oro rosa, incluso en las ramas.

And lots of leaves die cuts, and then colored with Lindy's

Y muchas hojas que corté con suajes y después le dí color con los Lindy's.
